Public Health Medicine Specialist
I am a public health medicine specialist responsible for enteric diseases, as well as being the clinical partner for laboratory services support and for informatics. I work closely with the environmental health and informatics teams on health protection and information solutions.
Having graduated from medical school in the United Kingdom I worked for a number of years in UK and New Zealand hospitals before spending nine years as medical writer involved in evidence-based clinical decision support. I commenced public health medicine training in 2014, recognising early on during my first advanced training position at National Public Health Service - Northern Region that this was where I wanted to work. I enjoy being part of a skilled multidisciplinary team working together to improve health outcomes and equity for all.
